Really pleased with these chains. Had to bring some logs out today. There is not a lot of snow left, but what we have is really icy and crusty. No way I would have been able to do this with straight R4 tires alone. Stuff was like driving through mashed potatoes.

I知 officially very glad wefit chains this season. Had a fridge delivery, and the truck spun his rear wheels into the ditch trying to come up the last part of the driveway. Hooked up a tow chain and pulled him up the last bit no problem at all. One very happy driver: putting a guy from FL in a box truck with worn tires didn稚 seem like a recipe for success, though.

Think the rears are tensioned just about right now that I fiddled with the links.

I just noticed your bucket skids for snow removal. Good idea! Any problems with them staying put?
I built mine to bolt underneath the bucket, they have a "ski nose" on both ends. Since they are fully under the bucket lip, if you roll the bucket down a bit you can scrape closer to the surface than if it was running level. I'll try to find a pic of them in an old thread.

I check them periodically, tighten them once or twice during the season.

For cleanup and occasional plowing on gravel, Edge Tamers have been great.

Just ordered a replacement set of fronts from Windy Ridge Supply. They can be shipped UPS (rears are too heavy for that).

One of the fronts came off last Spring while in the woods. No doubt I will find it, one day after I install the new pair!

Brought up some safety wire to wire all the fittings so it doesn't happen again. Live and learn.
