Yes your salesman is correct somewhat, my dealer installed a QA plate to the back of my bucket and installed the Kubota QA to the loader arms.
Here is a link to the pics, look under L2800 QA FEL. L2800 QA

Aaron, Look seriously at the L3130 before you buy a 3400. It is much more tractor and only 1500.00 more, at least here in TX.

It's in the L series section, and then you have to select Grand L series tractors.

135 ac.!!!

If $$ are a consideration, I would check out a used monster in the 60-100hp range. Although I LOVE my L3400DT, I could have had a number of used (not abused) 60-80hp 4x4 for half the price (ie. 10 yrs old, few thousand hrs). Can't cut the lawn with that size; but sure could get things done on the property in a hurry and would likely last a non-commercial user a good number of years until you get your dream machine. Anyone else agree?

be careful of the trap though, looking at the 3400 then oh what about this 3130? Well shoot the 3430 is the same size frame but more hp, well shoot the 3830 is also the same size but even more hp, and only a couple thousand more.. then next thing you know you end up like me and the 3830 is sitting in your barn, not sure where it came from? But thanks Tbners for all the help... I think. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

You're right. I have limited $$$ to spend & I have to stick to it.

My uncle has an excavating business, with a Ford 555B 4x4 back-hoe, A caterpillar 4x4 loader & dozers, also a couple of trac-hoes. So if I needed bigger artillary, all I have to do is call him up.

I need a no-frills machine that will last a long time, and I'm going to have to finance at least 2/3 of it, so I might as well go new, the rates are good through Kubota.

Keep in mind that I grew up on OLD farm tractors. We have in my grandmothers' barn... A 48 JD 420 gas wide front end, an IH 300 gas utility, two Ford 8N's (one with bucket), a 40 something A/C, and last but not least my dad's 540 Gas INDUSTRIAL tractor with loader. Pics are attached of the 540 when we were cutting logs to build my garage.

After using all this OLD stuff, the L3400 will be like a DREAM to operate!

1 dealer just quoted me $14948.00 for the
L3400DT with loader &Ag tires.

Said he doesn't have any right now, and that there is going to be a price increase for 2006.

Said he has 2 L3400 HSD's with AG tires though at $16348.00 each.

What do you think?

That price difference between gear and hydro is about what my dealer quoted me when I bought mine. If I had it to do again, I'd still get the gear. I haven't regretted it.
