L3400 suspension seat and sore back

/ L3400 suspension seat and sore back #21
I pulled the stock seat of my L3700 a year into ownership & spent something like $300 with Northern Tool for a better unit. It was necessary to make up a 1/8" thick steel adapter frame for the different mounting bolt patterns but that was easy. The new one isn't what you would call wonderful but far better than sitting on a rock.

I went through the same dilemma with my L3400 seat. Finally took the seat off of the frame and beat the H**L out of it with a 3# hammer. It did finally break loose! However, even with it working as it should, it's a pathetic seat. Forget cushioning bounce - that just ain't gonna happen. Best best, if you have the coin, trash it and buy a decent seat.
