L 3400 HST
I have a new L3400 HST (12 hours), even with several continuous hours of hard work digging and moving dirt in 60 degree weather, the temperature indicator never moves off of C. Is this normal? I haven't tried to trouble shoot it yet. Just thought I'd ask before I feel like looking into it.

Even on the hottest of days under heavy working conditions my B2710's temp guage rarely reads much more than 1/4" above "C". That is normal.

However, if I don't keep the radiator screen clean of brush and leaves it will go up.

Relax. In the summer heat (90 degrees or more in South Carolina), you may get 1/4 of the way to H on your temperature gauge, after working the tractor hard for a few hours. However, per the prior post, if your radiator screen gets clogged, the tractor WILL get hot, fast. When I'm brush cutting tall grass and weeds, I pull the screen and hose it clean after clearing my property - which only takes 3-4 hours. My first notice of a clogged screen is a slow creep upward in the temperature.

I Thought the same think when I first got my L4300. Put a bush hog behind it about July and it will get abit warmer /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
