L3410 Rear Remote vaulves

I am needing to install rear remotes on my L3410 now, and just price a remote from the dealer, they want 1000 dollars for the kit. Sounds way high to me. Is this the going rate or should I look around?

Hello Bumpkin:

That sounds a little high to me...considering that you can typically get one added at purchase for around half that amount. I can't see them charging you double because you want to add one after the purchase. I'd check other dealers just to be sure.

the remotes fro a 10 series are now special order and totally different from the grandl 30 series tractors so they will not be readily available on the shelves hence the cost . just a guess of course

A pair of Kubota rear remotes for a Grand L series are about $1000 MSRP. That breaks down to $600 for the first one and $400 for each additional spool. Your quoted price for the L3410 is in the ball park for what their original MSRP was.

BTW, installation is extra.

You can install your own 3 spool aux valve with all plumbing for well under $500. Plenty of people have done it on both B and L series Kubotas. Do a search here and you will find the posts.

I got my genuine Kubota remote kit (bolts, brackets, hoses, etc. for my L3710 off of ebay. I snagged it for $465 including shipping. It was the second one I have seen on ebay. There out there if you keep looking. I just couldn't bear paying the $750 or so from the dealer.
