L35 back hoe and tree stumps

With my L35 I have dug out quite a few large stumps..IM pretty sure there isnt a stump it cant handle its only a matter of time. Whats been mentioned before and where you will have trouble is lifting the stump from the hole. What you should do is pik t up by curling it around one of the larger roots and swing the boom from side to side which will shake off most of the dirt. Then if you can get the stump flipped over you can dig at the bottom of the stump with the bucket. The bet way to pop the roots with the Hoe is to push forward on the diperstick leve while curling the bucket. It produces the most pressure and force on the root and usually causes them to pop right out. Good Luck!

Thanks for the info - I'll use that information this weekend when I give it a shot digging the stump out. I hoping it will come out somewhat easily because its been dead for about 2-3 years and the entire tree was too much of a liabilty to leave standing.

And after I use the big tractor, I can get back on my BX2200 and fill the hole and relevel the entire area. Its amazing the size holes that the cut down branches and tree truck can cause.
