No warranty and not the brake, although I thought it was the brake at first.

Sounds EXACTLY how mine acted when the fuel filter was clogged.
Can you ensure the lines are open and completely unrestricted? When you changed the filter, did the lines seem ok? Not collapsed or pinched anywhere? Maybe take the filter out and see how well fuel drains through the lines.
I agree with the others, maybe the pump. But I tend to lean toward a clog or restriction somewhere, especially with only 200 hours.
In any case, sounds like it's starving for fuel.

Well, the bad news is: I'm an idiot. The good news is: I'm an idiot. I had about 50% gasoline in my fuel tank. One of my dad's buddies came by and checked all the fuel lines and filter. He didn't like the look or smell of the fuel, so we poured some on the ground and threw a match on it. It burned like gas.

I never thought it would be a relief to do something so stupid! Thanks for all the input, everyone. You were right, it was a fuel problem.

Whew! Glad you found that. Don't beat yourself up -- that's an easy mistake. I had my tractor on the trailer and was stopping at the gas station to fill it up. I was on the phone with my wife, and I had to catch myself to grab the diesel instead of the gas pump. It's an easy mistake to make.
