L3560 loaders?

FALLON: You post regularly, but I have to ask:

What is your altitude in Parker, Colorado? My L3560, open station, has plenty of power for me at sea level. But if you add a cab +AC, and your altitude is over 7,000 feet, you may find it underpowered.

I have the LA805 with optional SSQA L2296 Heavy-Duty, Round-Back bucket. Great combination on which to mount a made-in-Wheat-Ridge-Colorado Bucket Solutions Bucket Spade.

My L3560 tractor-loader is 5,400 pounds, with R4 tires, filled with air.

Fallon, everybody "escalates" size and capability of their tools to fit the jobs they do. The natural urge for more and bigger especially applies to tractors. For handling big bales you are looking to upgrade your loader. You might really appreciate a heavier tractor too, for its sure-footed handling of heavier loads. Ever picture yourself in something like a 45hp cab rig? If you used one for a few weeks I'll bet you'd want to keep it. I'm a bad influence - my 4 rigs are different sizes - each is great in its own situation. Have fun, Dick B

I actually looked closer at the photos... 215 KUBOTA L356HSTC LIKE NEW despite saying LA555 in the text, that photo has LA805 in it... had previously noticed the UTV cab shot, but assumed it was in with a pile of other photos when uploading the pile, done that myself before. Could be a scam though. Not worried as I'll only do a deal in person after checking serial numbers with Kubota.

Had a mowing job lastnight & definitely don't want anything much wider than I have now. I understand the 32hp vs 3,500lbs equation is better than 35-37hp vs 5,400lbs. We are at about 6,200' in my neighborhood. I'd be looking at a 40hp 3000 series grand new if they made em, but it's not an option. Will swing by the Kubota dealer & look at the 4000 series grands though at some point.

The bale moving is about done, only 8ish left never to return. But I'd like to have the capacity & option to do it again safer if needed.

Well, stopped by & checked it out this evening & it seems legit. All the implements but the 72" box blade are gone & he mentioned possibly taking $26,500 for it. They are moving. No options or accessories other than the box blade & the what I think is a Piranha Tooth Bar. He thought the tires were loaded, but wasn't sure.

Loader was an LA805 & a bit faded. Tractor had a few dings & scuffs, but really not any worse than mine. Guy didn't know to much about it, but I guess hanging out with the TBN crowd tends to make me use to the more nerdy technical crowd who know everything about their machine. He had to fumble around a bit to find the hood latch & wasn't sure on the loaded tires. It had just over 100 hours on it & a new oil filter. Pretty sure he had the dealer do the 50 hour service, think 68 hours was written on the filter.

Definitely feels like a bigger machine. Measured 76" on the outsides of the wheels, probably 72" track where the tread is. Its a bit slower on the top end than my L3200 & I can feel the lesser power to weight ratio.

A lot to think about. It's a good price on the machine, but not completely sure I want one that much wider that what I have now & know I'll not be thrilled with the lower power to weight ratio. I do think it will fill my needs pretty well though. Need to go take a few door measurements then sleep on it.

Easy enough to check if the tires are loaded or not, let some air out with the valve stem low... if liquid comes out, they are loaded. Did you not take any photos? :D

No photos 215 KUBOTA L356HSTC LIKE NEW represents it pretty well, except for the fact the loader looks a bit faded. I garage my tractor, but the bucket stays outside & looks about the same, so it's not terribly unexpected or bad. It could use a cleaning inside & out & has a few dings, but really no more than my L3200.

Not concerned enough about the loaded tires to check, easy enough to remedy down the road myself for under $300. More depressing & worrisome is the fact I'd be loosing Top & Tilt for for the near future.

Still going to sleep on it, but I'm getting this niggling feeling that I'm rationalizing a decision rather than making one. :p

Just curious if having the cab is a must?

I paid $27,500 new for my L3560 with LA805, L2296 HD, RB Bucket, Draft Control, open station, in 2013. Of course the one you are inspecting has a cab and presumably air conditioning. (No sales tax on ag tractors in Florida.)

Any plans to get a backhoe attachment in your future?
If yes, then then the larger FEL may allow you to get the BH92 mount with a sub-frame installation.
Just one more consideration for your decision.

It's my primary reason for upgrading. Plowing snow is to cold & I'm tired of being hot, sweaty & dusty when mowing & doing other summer stuff.

HST+, radio & other bells & whistles are nice, as is more loader & to some degree 3pt capacity.
