I am very happy with mine. It does not have any bells and whistles, but that was exactly what I didn't want to pay for, so you end up with pretty big and powerful compact tractor/FEL at a very reasonable price.

Not having bells and whistles means it has a live PTO which means you have to depress the clutch pedal to engage the PTO and it means you have a single stage clutch which means you can't just disengage the PTO by depressing the clutch halfway, i.e. when you depress the clutch both the drive and PTO are disengaged. I haven't found this to be a problem as I used a B5200 that worked the same way for over 20 years. At least the L3700 has HST.

Got one and love it. Just sold a B7610 (great tractor also) but not nearly the tractor the 3700 is. Great for doing blade work, and minor farming. I cant get over the power for the price - I think it is the best machine for the $ hands down.

I picked the L3700SU as my first tractor. I use it principally for taming a wilderness at the moment. I have woods that are overgrown with brush, vines, and thickets of saplings (no hardwoods to speak of). Most of the saplings are 1-2" in diameter, but spaces less than 8" apart. I have had no problem brushhogging through them as fast as I feel safe to drive.

I have pushed over some larger stuff, up to 5" diameter trees, and through some denser thickets with saplings packed in less than 2" apart without having to drop out of middle range on the HST. I have only dropped into the low range for digging with the FEL so far and sometimes forget to do that until I get into harder ground.

I have owned one for several months now and so far I'm pleased with its' performance. I had the dealer equip it with R4 tires, a drawbar and cruise control and it was still less expensive than the base L3400.

I looked at a number of different compact tractors before I chose the little 3700. For my money it was the best combination of quality, performance and price.

I thought by looking at the Kubota website the drawbar and cruise were options. I guess they are trying to get the base price down. My L4400 is pretty basic too and my Brother is content with it, just doesn't want to be that big. He got a price of $17K cash or $18.5K financed with loader and R4s, not sure about the cruise or drawbar. I wonder also if extendable arms can be added by the dealer?? I agree that it's a lot of tractor for the price. Still can't figure out why it's cheaper than an L3400??

$17K delivered to my place with a full tank of diesel, tires filled, FEL, R4s, drawbar and cruise installed.

I kept going over the details because I couldn't figure out why it cost less than a 3400. Even the dealer couldn't answer that question.

Sounds like a very good deal. I went to four dealers and $17K was the best deal I could find. Of course I already had implements so I didn't try to make any deals involving them.

We must be talking about two different tractors?? You bought a new L3700SU with all that equipment for $15.7K?? I gotta see the signed contract on that one.;)

It was tongue in cheek.

LOL, I was trying to be funny. People on this site are known to exaggerate on the downside the prices they pay for tractors. Drives the dealers crazy when they see people claiming prices at or below dealer cost. I guess it keeps the dealers on their toes anyway.

Wish you had posted that before I bought mine. Seems I paid almost 4K for my boxblade and landscape rake based on your post.

Nah, it doesn't bother dealers at all. Now readers,,, that's a different story...

"funny" comments end with things like ;) or maybe :p or . Your comment should have ended with :ashamed:

I hardly ever use the little signs. But, why should I be ashamed?

Yes, I paid about the same as you actually. I posted the actual price I paid in my delivery announcement.

There, I used one of the little signs.

Bought the 3700 a couple of months ago and love it so far. I have the FEL, BH76 backhoe, 72" rake and 68" rear mount snowblower. (just over $30k, let's just say) Waiting to use the snowblower. I have been practicing driving backward on the streets of Vermont! (no one seems to notice!):confused2:

Just out of curiosity, why did you get a rear mount snowblower? Was a front mount one that much more expensive or was the hydraulic power not enough for those hydraulic powered front mount snow blowers?

Maybe because of this statement that you made: People on this site are known to exaggerate on the downside the prices they pay for tractors

I think people on this site are known to be honest about what they pay and rely on each other for accurate information. You are implying that they are not??
