Tractor is a 2005 or 2006.

If the backhoe is that old you might have to weld brackets on for the hyd thumb... The newer ones have the brackets on them from the factory....

Yea, there's no brackets. Its totally bare.

I guess you can get the kit or make your own brackets.....

Anyways, I'm back at setting this up.

Looking at:
Hydraulic Backhoe Thumb | 24" | Weld On

Now, my understanding is I can split the hydraulic manifold and insert another valve. I just don't know who makes the manifold and how to find the proper valve to splice in. I spent some time last night looking around and haven't found anything. My goal was to slide in another valve in the manifold, run the lines to a foot lever, and weld in the thumb. I'll probably end up having to go with the mechanical though.

So the 24" arrived and I dicked around with it last night after work. I tried every configuration possible, but the holes did not line up to keep the thumb in the upmost position. Its not welded in or anything, but am sort of stuck here. Emailed Titan to see what the answer could be.

Alright. Got the scoop. Not sure if anyone else is reading this.

Called Titan and spoke to a person. The ability to lock the thumb up in the upright position has been removed. Something with "problems with the structural integrity". Not sure if he was just bull****ting me, but that was the answer I got. I'll have to weld up a tab or something to lock it in place.
