L3710 loader hydraulic leak

Anyone have problems with the retaining bracket on the side arm of the loader wearing through the hydraulic pipes to the bucket? The first time it happened the tractor had 100 hours on it and two lines were rubbed through. Now with 300 hours on it another line has a pin hole. Seems like a poor design on the hold down bracket (metal to metal viberating).

I've only got 75 hours on my 3710 but I'll sure check and see if the hyd. lines are rubbing in the morning.

No leak at three hundred hours.

Usually they have a small strip of rubber under the hold down bracket to eliminate the metal to metal contact. If you don't have it I would add it.

Yea, you would have thought there would have be rubber between all the brackets, but even when they replaced two of them the first time under warranty, the dealer didn't put anything between the steel pipes and the hold down brackets. When I questioned them on it this time they said they never heard of this problem. I first thought the bolts weren't torqued properly when it was originally assembled, however they assured me that wasn't the problem. And again it happened!

700 hours no leaks or wear. The brackets do have the rubber inserts.

Dealer came out, replaced line and put rubber between steel line and holding bracket on FEL. They covered it under warranty. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
