Wax Man, The gray original filter serves another purpose.. When you see one on a tractor with more than 50 hours on it... you know that the 50 hour was not done.:shocked:

Here is what my filter looked like at the 50 hour change. very satisfying to get those metal filings out of the system.

I did the filter changes myself, caught the hydraulic fluid in a tub and poured it back in to the L3800. A little messy, but no biggy.

Oil change is a walk in the park.

Excellent job! The filter looks good, there is always going to be some filings, but yours looks less than many I have seen.
