Took my L3800 in at 53 hours for the initial maintenance. After I got it back it
just isn't the same. 1. Power is down. 2. It bogs down. Revs will suddenly drop
from 2100 to 1700 to 1200 to 700 and if I clutch it, revs come back immediately.
It's almost like the transmission bogs it down. It's worse on a hill or under load.
Even using the hydraulics has caused it to bog down. It got 64 hours on it now
and it will do this at least 3 times per hour. Otherwise it runs fine except for
feeling like the power is down. Like it's straining all the time.:(

And it has never died. As soon as the clutch goes in the revs start coming back
up.

Anyone have any ideas? I really hate to take it back to the steal-er. It's
120 mile round trip and I'd have to make it twice (that's saying they fix it
the first time).
Thanks, appreciate any help.

Wow, mine sits at 16 hrs. The 50 hr service is a engine oil/filter change and hydraulic oil filter change, front differential gear oil. Tighten wheel lugs and that is about it. Not sure how any of that could have effected or caused your symptoms. What did they do? Is yours HST? HS

At least call the dealer and talk to them. Make sure you understand all that they did and ask them what it could be. If its their mistake, I would expect that they would come and get it for free and take care of it.

Make sure that they pushed bleeder pump knob all the way down and tighten it good

I have around 300+ hr now on my L3800. Nothing like this going on. I have trouble seeing the Hydraulic fluid level in that little window. Hard to tell if it empty or overfilled? I am leaning towards wrong hydraulic levels. Maybe if you drained the fluid just to see how much you have. clean container and put it right back checking that little window. I had the BX2200 in for repair one time and they left the red filler cap off so by the time I noticed I had hydraulic fluid all over the back of the tractor. Just saying things get forgotten sometimes even when you do your own service. Hope I'm not leading you down the wrong path. :2cents:

Check the fuel filter... if it is new or has been removed to clean.... If it has bleed the injectors, sounds as if there is air in the system and can not get a full squirt from the pumps...

That's what I thought too. It's an HST. But it ran perfect until the service
and immediately started this after the service.

Fuel filter??

Work order says they "checked fuel filter". My first thought was bad fuel so
I drained the tank and put fresh fuel in it. Didn't work.

You got me there. No idea what you're talking about. I'm a retired LEO and no mechanic by any stretch of the imagination.
That's why I bought the Kubota. I didn't want to have to do anything but routine maintenance. Could you tell me what to
look for?
Thanks,
Dano
