Check the fuel filter... if it is new or has been removed to clean.... If it has bleed the injectors, sounds as if there is air in the system and can not get a full squirt from the pumps...

After changing the fuel, the filter was the next thing I checked. Work order says they checked it,
not changed it. I didn't remove it but it is tight, no leaks, hoses are clamped and no sediment in the
bowl. It does act like it's starved for fuel when under load but it don't do it all the time, just 2 or 3 times
per hour of work.

It probably was removed to check it. I'll bleed the injectors today and see if that does it. Pouring the rain today and it only does it
periodically so it may be several days before I know if that did the trick. I'll let everyone know if it works or not. Thanks Kenny,
and thank you to everyone who replied.

There is a shut of valve at the fuel filter on the L3800 to make service easer, and eliminate air getting into system when changing filter. Check to see if it is fully open. A fuel filter change is not on 50hr service though. HS

I don't see a shut off valve on mine and the book don't mention it. You talking about the vent cock to bleed the
fuel system?

Mine has no fuel shutoff valve between the tank & filter. If the tank is below 1/2 it wont flow fuel when servicing filter. Otherwise the fuel line can be clamped to stop fuel flow.

That said, your dealer needs to fix your tractor. Either come get it or do it at your place.

That's next if bleeding don't fix it. It'll be a few days before I know if it works or not. If it does, great.
If not, I'll call them to come get it or fix it here.

Dano,

I think my L3800 is running fine. However, if I am in the wrong speed range (always high gear) and try to start our or climb too steep a grade then I will loose RPM and speed. I can be running right along just fine and as grade increases I start losing RPM's. Most often I set it at the mid range for working and snow plowing. RPM's come back when I let off gas peddle and of course pushing the clutch takes all the load off and the engine returns to correct rpm's.

Good luck

Check the brakes to see if they are partly set on???

Yep, checking the brakes sounds too simple, but have seen this happen.

Mine never loses more than a couple hundred rpm and that takes a heavy load to do. No HST here though...
