Hey Gem I'm just about ready to take the leap and order a set. Any handling issues once you put them on? Does it seem to help w/ stability on hills as well? I've read the installation instructions and it seems pretty straight forward. I don't have a trailer to get the tractor to a dealer so I'll probably get a friend or two over and give it a try myself. Thanks,

redsox1 - No handling problems at all. As you might guess, here in Georgia everything is either uphill or downhill. (And it's all slick red clay :)

Before the spacers I had a queezy feeling like I was sitting on a pogo stick. Granted, I'm not an old timer tractor driver... Only had a 1960 Fordson Dexta before, and too ignorant to know that you could even turn one of those over. Now the 'Bota gives me confidence. Take the leap - you'll feel the diffence and you'll love it.

And - if you don't like the way they feel, take 'em off and put them on the fireplace mantle. They'll make a beautiful centerpiece! Bro-Tek makes them pretty as well as precise.

Thanks for the reply, I'll probably put in the order tomorrow and line up a couple friendly neighbors to help.

Bought the spacer kit from Bro-Tek, everything came as advertised. Nice quality and fit. Installation went smooth, took about 45 minutes and we took our time. Huge differance in the amount of clearance now, I think it will work out well.

Not hard to install, but not a one man job. There were three of us and that was just about perfect.

I should have taken pics during install, but I'll see what I can do.

I did the same thing on my L3200. The spacers from Bro-Tek are excellent quality and the shipping was fast.

I then went ahead and ordered tire chains from Tire Chains by TireChains.com The price and service there too were excellent. While Tirechains is really set up for UPS delivery, they were able to accommodate my pick-up since I prepaid and was travelling through the Johnstown PA area. The workers at Tirechains were most helpful and having the chains packaged in strong cloth bags made transportation easy. I also picked up a set of spring tensioners and a load binder.

It'll be a while before I need to install them, but when winter arrives again, I won't hesitate going out when the roads are a little icy.

PS There is a lot of information on the Tire Chains by TireChains.com webite and I like how I was able to search by tire size.

Followup...Plenty of clearance w/ chains on and stabilty on side slopes greatly improved. Highly recomment adding spacers, really a necessity if you plan on using chains in the winter.
