Kubota
Hi
I have a Kubota 3830 (2005) and yesterday, as I got out of the seat, the tractor cut itself off as if I had left the PTO running. It was not, but when I looked at the instrument panel, the oil and electrical warning lights were both on. I turned the switch off and then back on. Instead of going off in a second or two, they both stayed on. When I started it, they both went off. I thought it must be a computer/electrical glitch in the warning system and stopped work for the day to let it cool off and hopefully reset itself. Today it does the same thing . . . turn on switch and the oil and electrical warning lights do not go off in a second or two like they should; start tractor and they do. I cannot find anything in the manual about this. Do you have any ideas?
Thanks

I know it's a new model but the oil light needs to see pressure before it'll go out and it's not going to until the engine is running. There's a light for coolant temp that goes out after a few seconds even if you don't start the engine.

Hand me my “I’m Stupid” sign. Re-reading the manual yet again, your assessment appears to be correct. I could have sworn that the oil and electrical lights stayed on for a only second or two when the ignition switch was turned on. As many hundreds of hours I have in the saddle of that machine you would think I would know. Oh well . . . I would rather appear like an idiot than have something wrong with my Kubota. Many thanks!
