You might think I use my poor L39 hard or something, as the front axle left side has developed a leak at the seal at the vertical spinle pivot at about 650 hours.

Can anyone tell me what is involved in the fix to replace the seal.

I wonder what caused the seal to go bad on just that side? Nothing appears bent or damaged.

IT could be as simple as a piece of hay or dirt caught in between. They are not that bad to fix. A field expedient is to switch to gear oil first.

There was a good thread a while back documenting a seal change in a typical Kubota front end. You might be able to find it with a search, but I think it included pictures.
