Loader L39 & L45 TL1000 Loader Self Leveling Operation Question?

I seem to remember clearly that before my dealer replaced the loader joystick to my L39 that the self leveling fiction of the loader bucket worked both raising and lowering the loader bucket.

I was doing some pallet work the other day and the loader in self leveling position only self leveled in the raising the loader, not lowering the loader.

I called the dealer service manager and he called back saying he checked a new machine on the lot and that the self leveling function only work raising the loader not lowering.

I'd appreciate if this can be verified by other operators.

I am pretty sure that on my L39 it works in both directions. Not perfectly but it does work. I'll check for sure today and if I am wrong I'll repost.

My L45 self leveling works in both directions, I use it a lot with the forks on. It actually works good with the root grapple also. Owners manual has a section on how to adjust if not working as it should.

My L39 works in both directions. Even if the tractor is off, if you drop the loader, the self leveling works.

Not perfectly but it does work. MarkV

I do not have my work shop manual with me, but I am pretty sure the valve is adjustable if the leveling is not accurate.
