I just took delivery of an M59. For anyone thinking about the new tractor,
While I haven't had much time behind the blade this afternoon I repaired some uneven country road storm damage in just 20 minutes which used to take over an hour in my L39.
The bucket looked large to me but with the 59 HP, HST/On Command features (braking/LMH split shifting ranges) and larger wheelbase the tractor handled this job easier than the L39.
On uneven terrain the M59's forward reverse auto pedal, HST and engine braking gave me more time to concentrate and keep my eyes on the work rather than thinking what shuttle gear I needed, working the clutch etc. IMO it makes it more productive.
Please don't get me wrong, I really liked my L39. It is a tough, durable quality tractor. But if you can swing it the M59 makes the work that much easier and faster.
Of course, I'm old and getting slow and lazy.
