L3901 regen light keeps flashing

had my second regen at 25hrs yesterday,the regen light started flashing then the rpm light flashed,i raised the rpms to about 2100 and the rpm light went out and the regen light stopped flashing...after a few seconds the regen light stated to flash again but the rpm light did not come on,i raised the rpms to about 2600 to stop the flashing but after a few minutes the regen light begins to flash again...this happens all thru the regen process and after about 25 minutes the light goes out ...if i was using my brush i would have had to stop because of the high rpms..most of the threads i have read have said raise the rpms to about 2100 ,the rpm light goes out and the regen light does not flash..i have kept my rpms at 1900 all the time when the tractor is running..any help will be appreciated.

Not familiar with the regen system on your 3901 but it is highly advisable to read and understand the material concerning regeneration in your owners manual. The system is thoroughly covered therein.

Note: The Kubota warranty does not cover "regeneration issues" due to whatever they deem to be "operator error," and increased efforts are being made to deny such claims.

i have read the manual thoroughly and it doesn't mention why the regen light would keep flashing on and off after the rpm light goes out

When the rpms light goes out the regen light will keep flashing until the regen is done. It may take 15 mins or so then it should go out. When it gets close to being done you will hear the engine change sound and then the light will go out. All RPM light does is let you know if you are at the correct RPM's

I'm so glad I bought my L3800 instead of the L3901. Fortunately there was a dealer nearby that stocked up on the L3800's when they were coming out with the newer L3901 and had a few left when I was in the market. There may be some improvements to the newer machine, but that regen crap is enough reason for me to pass.

I only have 13 hrs on my L3301 but I try to run the RPM's about 2100 rpm at all times. Supposedly that will help with regen.

I have a L3901 with around 300 hours. I always run it at the orange dot on the tach until I get off for the day or maybe for a long time on the ground otherwise I leave it running at that high rpm.I only know of one time mine regened and I knew it from the smell. Sure it has been doing it's thing all along but I never know it. This is my first tractor with DFP or DPF or whatever it's called for those exact description and initials people. I run it different than I did my other ones because it is different and running it different has seemed to work well for me, so far.

thanks for the replies..as i stated i keep my running at 1900 rpms all the time.but the regen light flashes on and off during the regen,.no other warning lights come on

Is your Kubota still under warranty? Hopefully so.

I think my L3301 came with a 2 yr, 1500 hr warranty.

I think the light or one of the lights is supposed to flash off and on while regenning.
