I cannot reset the l4060 back to "normal", it's locked into a hot fine adj mode k, but it can't change it. I can only start if I push hst foot control fully down then all way back, then it cranks. Now it has limited torque and only in hot turtle mode. How do I get it back to stock.. I'm a retired drive train engineer from dodge. I have sw/hw design experience, but I dont have any experience on the Japanese tractor designs. Does anyone from IAV monitor this thread? If so please reach out with some type of "hack" to virginize ECU
I'm a retired hardware engineer of past experience with GM and Ford such as you. I have the same problem on my L4060. Hst the workshop manual is incorrect in the preparation procedure. Set the range lever to neutral between m. And h not l and m set the parking brake. Push the HST pedal forward. Then backwards start the engine. Then it will do the procedure. FYI most the kubota tech Think you have to use a laptop. But there is no laptop by directional. Controls on these kabotas.. It only clears codes and access data stream all of the programming except for initialization is done through the - display.fyi its network is CAN L, YOU CAN ACCESS the network via the diag connector and use standard Hex CAN dev SW to access, no security to prevent access!
Wsm is wrong, hst enter prep is range mode is N between am and H, not N between L and M, all the rest is correct and procedure will complete automatically once the engine is started, ES.
