I've located an L4200 with a loader listed on Craigslist for $13.5K. I don't know the year (haven't talked to the seller yet) but it has 1900 hours on it. It has the glide shift, which I'm not familiar with. Does this sound like a reasonable price, assuming everything works? Is the glide shift trouble prone?
My neighbor has a 1998 L4200. It's a good tractor, however, beaware while there is a GST available, some tractors (including my neighbors) are not GSTs, they have the forward/reverse shuttle but to shift from low to high range you must stop. I believe it was called a FST. I have a GST on my L3710. It is super reliable, easy to use, and transmits huge power to the wheels.
