Kubota L4330 HST,Kubota '06 RTV
Thanks to all your help, I now own the above. It is, as previously noted, complete with R-4s, LA853 FEL, HD 72" bucket, 3 spool hydraulics [top and tilt ripper], Woods industrial 72" box scraper. I am attaching a photo which I hope comes through. As expected, I am anxious to get to work. Little intimidated by the machine, but will take it step by step. You make a great support group. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Congratulations! You will love the rig. Mine looked like that for the first few hours after it was delivered - now it has a 'patina' of mud and dirt on it from the farm. Agree with earlier post- take it easy, learn as you go and above all, be safe!

Drove it around the dealer's lot - back and forth and around, etc. Parked it next to his line up of new tractors. Everything was still standing when I left! Think I'll get the hang of it. Actually, have driven tractors before, but nothing as impressive as this one. Will remain watchful. Thanks. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The HST will be something that grows on you and its many benefits may not be fully realized until you get some time to use it or get into situations that fully utilize its ability. I have had HST for several years now and really enjoy the HST on my L30 series tractor. My L48 had it as well and it was wonderful for such a large compact, but it was also geared in a range that was just not great for mowing. Its range was aprrox. L 2.7 mph, m 4.2 mph and h 17 mph. Quite a jump from medium range to high. The L30's all have a medium that works very well for their smaller size and job ability. If your L4330 is comparable to my L3830, and I am sure it will be, it's going to really be a tractor you will enjoy, so enjoy. Rat...

I had a canopy like that on my L-3710. I had to remove it and mount rubber washers between the canopy and the frame that mounts to the rops because at a couple of different engine rpm's, a vibration was set up between the canopy and the frame of the tractor. It mad a real loud humming noise. Very irritating, you couldn't hear yourself think!!!

That's why, this time I got the cab on my L-5030. Much quieter and cooler too. I like air conditioning. I'm old and like comfort.

One thing about the cab versus the canopy. The cab is actually lower than the canopy mounted on the rops. The cab has an intergal rops structure. The exposed/standard rops is exactly the same height as the top of the cab roof. When you add the canopy, you gain about 3 inches more of total height. Height isn't always a problem, but could be if you find a low door or hanging limb. I guess it would be easier and cheaper to replace the canopy rather than the cab roof although the cab roof is one piece just like the canopy. When I purchase the 5030, the dealer firmly stated that there was NO warranty on the cab roof. I believe the canopy on the L-3710 cost about $350.00 if I remember correctly. I added it after I had the tractor for about a year to keep the sun off my neck. It's a snap to put on. A couple of U bolts and drill some holes to mount the lid and it's "off to the races"
