Going to look at Kubota L4400 tomorrow with the LA 703 loader.

Does anybody have this tractor and what do you think?

Thank you in advance for any replies.

I have the little brother (sister ?) to the L4400, the L3400 and am pretty happy with it so far. Only about 25 hours so far, so it's early days, but first impressions have been good.

Good luck,

Chilly

I bought my L4400 about 3 years ago and love it!!! I can not believe what can be done with it. I do some minor logging with it every year and have pulled out logs that are 30 foot long with a 20 inch diameter on very hilly land with no problem. I use the loader to stack 10 foot logs with no problem as long as I have some weight on the rear. In the winter plowing snow that took two to three hours with my Ford 8n now takes me about a half hour. I have the gear shift as that was what I grew up with on the farm and am very comfortable using. Using that tractor to me is like playing with a toy!

2 years and 105 hours of delight. Very happy with mine. FEL is essential.

Mine is the DT model. Basic tractor. No frills. Tough as a boot. Just remember, no frills.

x2...this is the reason i bought it. i hate electronics, transmission controllers, digital dashes, and machinery that thinks it knows more than i do. i'll keep my clutch pedal, and transmission that doesnt need fans and sensors to work

I'm in the same boat and on the same page. I've often said that if you want to make sure a hammer never drives another nail, simply wrap a wire around the handle.

Some things are unavoidably complicated, like space shuttles, automated machinery, etc. Tractors don't fall in that category as far as I'm concerned.

One more vote for simple tractors.

I thought long and hard about the 4400 before I bought the green one. The only reason I switched colors is dealer proximity and reputation.

My 5303 is on the same level of complexity as the 4400. The wiring harness is stupid simple and the drivetrain is too.
