Hi, i am wanting to know if the l4400 2wd kubota is a good tractor. This is my first tractor, my dealer will sell me the l4400 2wd, loader, brush hog, for 6500 dollars. I live on 30 acres of flat to hilly land. thanks.
That's a good tractor, but I wonder what must be wrong with it. To be a fairly new model, still in production, that's a price one would expect to pay for a 10 year old similar Kubota. Something is not adding up here.
John
On the other hand, if it's pretty new, everything works, and the price you typed is the one you meant, that's one heck of a good deal. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Thanks for everyones help, are their any different tractors i should consider? I will use the tractor mostly for brush cutting, move a few dead trees laying around, feed hay that type of things, will use the loader to move firewood also. The dealer has a package deal l4400 4wd, 18 foot trailer, 6ft brush cutter, 6ft box blade, and loader, semi-shuttle trans. for 20,995, for me that may be over kill.
No one has mentioned 4wd vs. 2wd yet so I will. These tractors, all compacts really are so light that it creates a real problem if they aren't 4wd. Most 2wd compacts are sold for mowing grass as in mowing lawns or golf courses. The have a real problem when using a loader.
would a l3400 4wd serve me better for what i need? How well could the 3400 handle tall grass? Part of the land i have bought about 10 acres, has not been cut in about 5 years. I want to keep the price below 18.000.
