Whichever model you get, go for the 4wd. As mentioned, these tractors are light and 4wd adds a lot to your traction and power. Anyone with a 4wd can confirm this, the difference between 2wd and 4wd is huge. If all you will be doing is mowing level ground, 4wd migh be overkill, but if you are on uneven terrain, use a FEL, I'd consider 4wd a must for these machines. 4wd will also keep your resale high.

I remain very fond of my L4400. I have been able to do things with it that I never expected to be able to do. My property has greatly benefited from this tractor's capabilities and I'm certain it has improved the value of my land as well.
