L45 TLB Quick Attach Coupler for BH .." weldable ears" or "tabs" to modify buckets
Hi , I have an L-45 and I am trying to find the part # for the "Weldable ears" for the BT1000AV backhoe. I have a few other buckets that I would like to adapt to the "Quick attach coupler ( BT4550 ). I have read a few times here on this forum that Kubota sells these ears. In researching this I have not found a part numner yet. I also contacted Eddie @ Messicks and was told they do not have that option. Has anyone purchased these? Any info would be greatly appriciated.

I am in the process of buying an L45 here in Canada.I discussed the quick attach for the backhoe bucket with my dealer.He was able to price the quick attach as well as the weld on ears.The ears were 125 dollars but I can't remember if that was for one or two.

Thanks for the response, I also heard that the Canadian version is different then the USA version. The Canadian version has the wedge style QA coupler. Now I wonder if that is the only manufacture that does produce the ears for Kubota. I will get a photo tomorrow of my set up and post.

As you can see in the attached photo the Canadian QA hoe setup for the L45 is much different and in my opinion inferior to the US design. I hate having to deal with the wedge every time I change buckets and would much prefer the pin setup that is used in the USA.
Clearly the Canadian ears will not work with your US buckets.
One word of caution - that snap ring that holds the pin securing your bucket to the hoe can snag on roots and get pulled open and then possible fall out leading to the main pin starting to slide out too if you don't catch it. My B26 had the pin setup and I lost the snap ring once and then I replaced it with a bolt that I double nutted to ensure it could not come off when working the machine.

Thanks Lauren for the reply. I have already started fab on some QA ears. I'm out of town for a few weeks but I will get some pics uploaded later. Oh and replaced the pin with a SS bolt and lock nut, per your advice.
