Rat- well I had made a BAD choice, but at least I learned! IM not even going to to go into all the good things about the HST I just joined the club/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif Here's the phone # for long 800-823-4570. They don't sell dricect but you can go through your dealer, I know carver's got them and be prepared to waite, its been over 4 wks. and still don't have it or the tooth bar, maybe I will here somthing on monday.

Mark you have done your best to spread the word and you do a great job doing it!! Im just a little thick headed! But its saved me several times when other objects have landed on it. But I do learn/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif Rember I did order the 4in1 right a way and IM trying to make the tires work /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif And I did order a tilt meter! OH wife just told me they called and the top n tilt kit is in. Know any one with a 4 point ROPS that fits a 4610?

Rich - I know what you mean. A hard head has served me well a few times, too.

I don't know of any 4-post ROPS for the 4610, but a good welder could probably add something on to the one you've got by making some front posts, then clamping the rear of the canopy to the existing ROPS just like the OEM canopy does.

How are the tires coming? Have you got it solved yet? Have you ballasted them yet?

Rich here is an idea that I have for overhead protection and a good starting point. It's a canopy from a Kubota wheel loader and if your dealer has sold any and put a cab on them the open canopy with lights has to be removed. I measured it out and it can either be welded or u bolted to my rops. Then I'm going to run a couple brush bars down to my grill guard and go from there.

I know what your going through the hurry up and wait game it's killing me as well!!!!/w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif

Looks like we are going to make a trip to see Mr. Welder to cut part of the loader frame away and reweld it. Tryed moving them out and that made it worse! Oh well. IM waiting for my dealer to get this new stuff in called rimguard, 11 to 12 lb. per. gal. and good down till -35 deg. and its non toxic! I will try and get a poop sheet on it asap or a web address and post it, they claim cows can eat it. I did by 300 lb. of wheel weights for the rear, and I plan on filling the tires up to 50% with this rimguard stuff.

Rich - I expected the move outward to make the rubbing worse - that's the same effect it had on mine. Have you been to see the welder yet?

Let me know what you think of the rimguard stuff. How much is it costing you? I'm looking forward to seeing those specs when you post them.

Rich, I found out some interesting information on 4 N 1's today. A local Kubota, JCB and Bobcat dealer says a company makes a quick hitch for Kubotas that allows most all of the implements available for a Bobcat fit your Kubota loader. Besides offering many excellent 4N1's of various widths, they have hydraulic augers (no shear pins to break and power reverse) trenchers etc. The 4N1 bucket was about $2500 for a 74" or maybe it was a 76". They also have narrower ones. Just thought I would pass the info on. Looked like a pretty neat system, Rat...

Rat - Do you have any more info on who the company is, or how to contact them?

One thing to be aware of is that very few hydraulic augers will work on regular tractors, because there's not enough flow in the hydraulic system. Even an L35 doesn't have enough flow for anything but the smaller auger drives. Skid steers, because hydraulic power is all they have to work with (no mechanical PTO drive), have much larger hydraulic pumps than tractors in the same size class. So unfortunately, most powered implements for skid steers won't work on tractors, even if the mechanical mating issues can be resolved. It would still work great for blades, rakes, 4-in-1 buckets, etc., though.

Mark, unfortunately I did not grab the one page brochue the guy had in his file cabinet. I thought the word "Uni" was involved. However, he did know which tractor I was using, the L4850 and thought that it had around 10GPM and said it would be acceptable to run one of the augers they make for Bobcat. He also said the same thing as you about hydraulic flow for augers. I will go back and get more info though and pass it on to you. Thought you might also be interested to know that JCB's tractors and backhoes are available out of the factory with XM 27's. Rat...

Mark- Mr. welder has the tractor as we speak and he is cutting and welding on that new orange paint,*@$#%^$&*.Boy I hated to do this. I was supposed to go to the dealer today but my trip got cancelled, 7' waves on lake superior today so were shooting for tomorrow then I will stop and see about the rim guard and maybe the 4in1 will be here/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
