I have a fel L4610HSTC with a grapple bucket. Best thing I ever had. It has been great cleaning up our new property. Can work all day long doing loader work with no problems. But as soon as I start clipping with the Woods 6000 5'er or disking with the 5' disk the temp starts up.
The temp gauge is broke into thirds and will only move a little past the 1st third doing the loader work but quickley climbs past 2 thirds heading to the red hot zone when I start bushing or disking.

Any of you guys with a L4610HSTC have any experenxes like this.

I have to clean the radiator screen very often when bushing but it still wants to run hot

I have a different tractor, but discovered the screen doesn't catch all the finer dirt. If you already haven't done so, take an air hose and thoroughly blow the radiator itself and see if that helps............chim

I also own the L4610 HST that I pull a Tri Deck finish mower with. And on warm days;85-95 degrees the engine temp. runs right in the 2/3 break on the gauge.

The trans. oil temp. is also very warm when the engine is running this warm...I don't think the 4610 radiator has enough cooling capacity; 2 core with only 2 gallon of coolant is not enough when the tractor is being "worked".

The hydro/trans. oil cooler is also too small,I just contacted AMSOIL about what oil I could use in the Hydro.system.I'm sure that this will help in reducing temp. in the Trans...

I've also talked to a Radiator Repair Shop about trying to come up with a 3 core radiator that would increase the coolant capacity,I'm sure we won't be able to come up with anything, but I'm going to try anyway. If there was enough room I would almost try to install another radiator and run the two together, which would double the cooling capacity... just a thought...

Thanks for the info. Yesterday I also posted this message in the regular forums Owning and Operating. I was directed to the discussion named Kubota Grand L4610HSTC A/C. There was quit a bit on the A/C problem if you read that tread you will find what appears to be a good fix for the A/C problem. It addresses the short fall of enouth cooling in a way that I think will also help my overheating problems.
I will try to put a link to the discussion. http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=genoperating&Number=283428&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=186&fpart=1
