Hi.
I’m trying to shoehorn a la304 loader onto a B7100.
If anyone has either a b7100 with a loader or another tractor with an La304 loader, I could really use a favour.
If you could post a measurements of the height from the ground to the pin at the boom (where it mounts to the upright) and the distance from the front of the bucket to the center of the front wheel (reach at ground) that would be a big help.

I’ve sort of eyeballed mine to have a boom mount height at around 42” and am trying to get the front of the bucket not more than 48” ahead of the center to the front tires (with bucket sitting level on ground).

thanks in advance for any help anyone is able to provide.

I did this for a guy on another site, if dimensions for a B219 on a B7100 will work for you.

Lil Foot - thank you so much. That gives me a solid frame of reference and hopefully I’ll be able to get somewhere in that ball park.

I think with the 304 my posts will need to be a bit higher but I’ll try to get the reach at ground a bit shorter than the 48” I was planning on based on what you are showing. I for sure won’t be able to get down to the 43” from your diagram though - the crossmember would almost be rubbing on the front hitch at 43”. I think I like those old school loaders with the sharper angle in the boom rather than the longer curved booms they seem to have on everything now.

thanks again for the help.

Things are progressing slowly but now I’m scratching my head looking at the bucket rollback angle. I found some specs online showing the maximum roll back angle for the LA304 is 25 degrees. I’ve eyeballed mine to about 27 degrees and it doesn’t really look like it would scoop too much up at that low of an angle.
Is the rollback angle on smaller loaders like this generally designed low to reduce the chance of overloading?

I could still drop the height of the boom and create a bit more rollback angle but that would increase the reach and put more weight further forward.

Do I just live with the 25-27 degrees and keep the weight as close to the front axel as possible?

Thanks for any advice that can be offered.
