lack of inventory at local Kubota dealer

I went by the Hot Springs Ark. Kubota dealer yesterday to look at their side by side UTVs and noticed that they have very few tractors on the lot. A few months back the lot was full. Now I could almost put their entire tractor inventory on my 20 foot trailer. They had one model of each size UTV also with $18500 for RTV 1100 down to $8900 for RTV 400. All sounded a bit high on pricing to me especially the 400 cc.

I was at our dealer Monday and the inventory of Kubota and New Holland was pretty low with only a couple in crates out back. They said they have been selling the heck out of tractors and the shop has been working six days a week since spring to keep up with putting them together, repairs on trade-ins and normal tractor repairs.

A local Kubota dealer said that there's a hold on new tractor orders for many of the new Tier-IV compliant tractors until after the fall Kubota dealer's meeting at the earliest. They say that performance and conformance problems with the new emissions packages have caused huge problems in the production pipeline.

They're not expecting to get any significant numbers of new tractors until November or December- they placed a huge order in June and are simply selling existing stock until it runs out.

I had to go to my Toro dealer for a new battery last Tuesday, and he normally has a bunch of new ZTR mowers parked out front; not a one this week. I wonder if the low inventory at some of these places is due to their fiscal year accounting, or tax related.

It can be a lack of investment capital. Locally the Kubota dealer is wrapped up in equipment I noted yesterday. Maybe he is loaded or just not selling anything. Never have stopped there being an old iron person due to lack of capital.

Nearby Kubota dealer had about 5 cab tractors a few months ago now he his none. He has about 3 New Holland cab tractors though.

I have an l5460 to be picked up in about a week. Should I be worried about problems with my new tractor?

I was already a little nervous about buying the first ones with the new dpf stuff.

A few weeks back the local dealer only had two CUTs, nothing bigger, and a reasonable selection of B/BX series.
