You guys are missing it: who cares if Lance is a good or a bad welder. He is popular and likely influenced a zillion welder buyers. For his part, Lance had developed a YouTube channel that had become his primary source of income, and so Lance had focused his energies on making the most of that opportunity. Sort of like the rest of us focusing on whatever our careers are, or where (for you retired types).
Lance was far more instructive than a pile of people on YouTube, unless you're really that interested in the twenty-something-wet-behind-the-ears explain how we can get by on a tiny home in LA until life hits them across the face.
I digress.
I liked Lance the first time I saw him race a girl on a horse with a tractor. Good humor.
