Land Clean Up

Thanks again to all for the information.

jenkinsph: what would be considered a heavy built land plane? Unfortunately I don't possess the fabrication skills many of you have, so I will have to find something commercially available. Should I just go by weight?

A good land plane grader scraper should be heavy and rigid with out flexing. I would expect a 5' land plane to weigh 500lbs or more. My 4' is just over 400 lbs and the 8' is 950 lbs.

I am sure a land plane would work, but a box blade is a lot easier to find. I have done several driveways with mine. A box blade is just handy period.
