I cleared 3 acres of land and burned most of the debris. I still have some small roots, twigs, and small branches 1-3" that did not burn. They are all tangled together with ash and sand, and I can't seem to shake it out. What should I do with this leftover debris? Disc it in? Get a tiller for the tractor? I was thinking a tiller might do a good job mulching it into the soil.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Joe

I wouldn't want to run my tiller through anything larger than 1". You would spend most of your time trying to pull them out of the tines where they had jammed the slip clutch.............:( /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Disking maybe..........

Best wishes,
Ron

Junkman's right. Since you have the BH, just bury it. You would be fine doing that with the small items that you mentioned. However, I would not bury bigger items like stumps. They will eventually rot underground and create a sinkhole. It may take several years, but it will happen. Trust me...
