No nothing yet. I spoke with my dealer and he said "everyone is having clutch problems is year due to all of the wet high grass" (we've had lots of rain this year). So per his request I'm going to take the clutch and drive shaft to the dealership this coming Friday for further evaluation. I will post the outcome when I get the verdict. Thanks for checking.

Are you sure the tractor pto is working...Your description is vague to me....It sounds by your description there is a problem with the pto clutch pack or broken internal shaft on tractor...These models had problems with sump screens clogging as various parts wore out or broke. Hitting junk and shearing bolts can in fact destroy the mower and the tractor...The mower clutch should get very hot if in fact there is slippage....I have slipped clutches on batwings and you can smell them burning

Yes the pto is working fine IMHO. This is the best that I can describe the problem-the mower cuts fine at a slow ground speed. When going to my normal tractor cutting speed the pto revolutions start slowing and eventually will stop for all practical purposes. Upon stopping the tractor and leaving the pto engaged the pto speed picks up and starts cutting again. Thanks for the reply.

Probably way off in left field, but have you checked under the mower to make sure the shaft is not wrapped up in wire, twine or vines. Like I said, a weird notion, but it would not hurt to check.

If the pto is ok, it should Not slow down...The blades are the only rotation that will stop with a bad clutch on the mower gearbox

If the tractor pto stub and the telescoping shaft connected to it slows down w/o the engine slowing theres a problem in the tractor. The external slip clutch slows no sign of slippage. It would show definite signs of heating and may even approach red heat if it were responsible for the lost rotation of the implement.
