Greg, From what I read one should make as many as three passes to obtain desired effects!

Just a suggestion. Make your passes at angles to one another. It reduces the tendency for the aerator to follow into the same hole pattern.

For the record: I priced a 48" Land Pride Core Aerator at Barlow Farm Equipment in Somerset,Ky. this Morning .I was quoted $1350.00 .Thought some of you might want to know what they run!!!!!!!!!!!!

It Lists so they told me for over $1600.00

The following is a reply from Tractor Smart in Johnson City Tenn.

We do not stock the aerator. The prices are below
CA2548, 48"- $1664.00
CA2560, 60"- $1898.00
tank for 60"- $234.00
no tank for 48"

That seems pretty high dont it? We sell our New FC 48 inch Core Aeriator for $675 (orange color) in Canmer, Ky about 50 west of Somerset--Ken Sweet

You might notice that the pictured Landpride and First Choice units are the same. My 48 inch looks exactly like the pictured Landpride. Just like Japanese motorcycles, I think there is just one factory with several doors and each door spits out a different color/brand. My aerator was--dirt cheap--thanks First Choice. J
