Rotary Cutter Land Pride cutters

I'm just wondering what you all think of land pride rotary cutters, good or bad. I'm mainly intersted in the flex wing cutters.

Well, I can't comment on the flex wing Land Pride mowers because i've never been around one...............But I do know that they make an excellent finishing mower.........A buddy of mine has made all knid of money with his..........More than paid for itself several times..........I think in the 3 years that he's had it all that he did to it was changed the belt(s)? one time and that was only a few months ago.......Of course he changed/sharpened blades and kept it greased regulary............Personally, I would definitely buy a Land Pride product.


Have you looked at the "Legend" line made by Bush Hog?.............Thats all the DOTD workers (the ones that cut the interstate) use where I live here in LA...........My cousin works for the state and he says they are real tough cutters........But I don't know cause i've never used one........Just "hear- say".

I've got a 6' Landpride bushhog, it's the light duty one but I have no complaints about it.

A guy who I work on his farm has a 20' Landpride batwing that he uses behind either his CIH 7150 or MX230 and he nor I have any complaints on it. Landpride makes some great light duty stuff and there heavy duty equipment is top notch.

We have both. A 15' SR-15 Rhino, a 20' Bush Hog 2720, and a John Deere 20' HX-20. We will never own another Rhino product simply because not all parts are available. Our 15' has been down for 6 weeks because the part is on back order and I just called yeaterday and it's still on 1 month backorder. We wont make that mistake again. We are very pleased with the Bush Hog overall. A very good machine at a very good price. The JD cuts slightly better than the BH and Rhino but its has tiny gearboxes that I don't care for and it scalps like crazy, just can't keep that thing out of the ground and is way overpriced.

I have been keeping an eye on Bush Whacker and I believe they will rise to be a major player. I would buy one in a heartbeat if I needed another cutter but there's no dealers close by. They are a small company and i'd say they keep all parts readily available since their used to catering to highway cutters.

Woods is near impossible to get parts for also. We have a Woods zero turn mower and everytime we need something for it its on backorder. When it comes to parts Bush Hog is on the ball. We have had great luck with them. We actually got a part for our Woods mower through Bush Hog because their ztr just happen to use the same exact part. It was $144 from woods and we got it for around $40 from Bush Hog. We ordered late on a Thursday afternoon and had it Monday morning and that was their standard delivery, not overnight.

I have not bought one yet, but all of my research shows that Bush-whacker is the one to get.

I bet parts for the Bush Whacker are very available. They started out as a parts co and then added their own line of mowers. So, they know the parts business very well and what it takes to succeed.

When I get a mower I think its going to be a BW.
