Yes, I had the 60" on my L3800. Now that I have a BX, I bought the 50" for it. Reverse tine 1250. Very nice tiller. Slip clutch is the only way to go. BX handles it very well.
Don't remember how much heavier the 60" was, but it may be a lot of weight for the BX, which is why I went with the 50". It's about 450 lbs IIRC. Definitely my heaviest implement for the BX that I have. I would not buy the 0550 or whatever it's called. It's tines are 2" shorter and it has a sheer pin. My brother has that one on his BX25D and it is weak in comparison. You'll spend more time replacing shear pins than tilling.
The 50" cost like $2,250 new, so depending on condition of the one you're looking at, that could be a very good deal.

If condition is good, you could buy it at a steal, then trade it or resell it with profit and buy a 48-50" for your BX. You could even try the 60" in the meantime and see if it will work well or not.
