Landowner/hunter dispute... revisited

OK, I've told the dog to lie down, hopefully he'll drift off.

I can understand people feeling frustrated by your legal system. From what I've read, it seems to favour those who can afford an expensive and dishonest lawyer.... rather like ours.

I have to say that Hebert must be as tough as they come. First time I was shot (in the leg) I thought the world would end, it was so unbelievably painful! He just says "you shot me" and drives away. Possibly the whole episode could have been avoided if the hunters had brought some cryptonite

They dont say how long the landowner has lived there, but with the hunters being upset over having hunted there for years, my bet is this is a case of old hunters up against a new landowner. I had that here.. The previous owner inherited the land and a 'old family buddy' who was used to hunting it just wouldn't stop when asked. They clashed a lot. Well, I bought it and he still thought he could set up a stand across from house and shoot across my field in my direction. Um, no..

If you don't mind my asking, and hopefully without derailing this very fine thread, how did you successfully deal with this problem and were there any long standing issues and/or consequences from it?

It took a few months to get all of his 'buddies' to stop coming by, but all is well.. I dont really wanna say how on here due to starting a whole 'nother debate..
