I'm looking at buying a 6' finishing mower to pull behind a Kubota L2800...which is a better mower--Landpride or Woods? I want a good, quality cut using a machine that will last me a very long time...Thanks for the help!!

I think both Landpride and Woods are good machines. Check pricing, look at tip speeds, good dealer and buy. Either will do the job.

wow, glad i dont have to make that tough of a decision.....yet. both are excellent well put together cutters, along with others you may/may not have considered i dunno. i personally like the Woods mainly because I have seen them up close and in person at a dealer and liked what i saw as far as fit and finish went. no corners were cut when building it. i have a John Deere 5 footer and am sorta kinda browsing for my next potential cutter oneday down the road. i think itll be between Woods, Bushhog, and the JD brand. whichever one you pick, both are gonna serve you well for years to come.

They're both top notch. For exact same price I would prefer Woods; I think they are just a bit more polished. But I would take Landpride without a worry if it was as little as $50 cheaper. Locally it seems like Landpride is more expensive than Woods, but no idea what it will be in your case.

My new Landpride 72" FDR25 cost me $2130 a couple of weeks ago. Not sure what a woods cost. I have only used it once and now it is snowing! Don't know how well it will hold up but seems like a very heavy duty machine.

I just paid $2000 for a 72" PRD Woods. I had previously run a 5' 60" light duty Land Pride with no issues. It was one tough mower. I chose the Woods over the Land Pride because of the features of the Woods. The PRD has a 60 HP 5 year warranty gear box with 5/8" reinforced rib running along the bottom edge of the deck. It also has a higher throat clearance in the deck and shock springs on the wheel shafts for a smoother ride. I am very well peased with the unit.
