grease gun advice needed

I have a Woods finishing mower RD990x that I periodically grease with red grease. I am having a very hard time finding/greasing 2 fittings, a driveline u-joint and a shield bearing(#'s 1 and 6 on attached diagram). I greased them a year or so ago but now my new grease gun cannot access the u-joint. Should the pto be unhooked from the tractor for best access? I have a helper who helps me do this, and also helps red grease the Ferris zero-turn(she holds the grease gun tip onto the fitting while I handle the grease gun). We believe since I got this new grease gun, the hose may be shorter than the old one and also the tip has been hard to pull off the fittings on the zero-turn and the finishing mower. I am thinking about getting a second grease gun with a longer hose and possibly a flexible head that can perhaps turn to a 90 degree angle. The mower and the zero turn are the only machines that get greased so I do not need a super fancy one just one that is user friendly. I have attached pictures of the current gun and the area of the mower I need to access. I need some suggestions as to making this messy job easier. I just looked at the diagram again, seems there are two #1's.. I do not need help with the fitting that is nearest the tractor but is nearest the gearbox.

Other than standing on your head, it would be easier if you removed the driveline. It is the same collar style as on the tractor end. The driveshield greasing isn't essential, but again, would be much easier if you remove the driveline.
You can buy just a hose of a longer length. The coupler is actually adjustable or should be. Look at this video as to what I am talking about.

If your grease gun is falling off zerks, get yourself a Locknlube tip. Really great.

I have 1 grease gun setup for a specific hard to reach zerk fitting. It has a 24" hose with a lock N lube nozzle fitting.
It gets used once a year on the MH driveshaft and top ball joint zerks that I installed; those ball joints were sealed but the protective boots rotted off (known problem). Rather than spend $3,000 replacing the ball joints I fitted them with zerk fittings. Total cost was about 4 hrs and 4 new zerk fittings I had on-hand.

Thank you for the video. I checked my grease gun, I do not believe the coupler adjusts as the video suggests. When I turn it, it just appears to unscrew from the gun. I do not mind getting another grease gun, this time with a longer hose. And I will check the end to see if it is adjustable. By driveline, you mean the long piece that attaches to the pto on the back of the tractor, the piece that I would probably call the mower pto?
The grease gun is not falling off the zerks, it is the opposite. It is very hard to get off tho easy to put on.

The grease gun is not falling off the zerks, it is the opposite. It is very hard to get off tho easy to put on.

Yes, the driveline is the part shaft that attaches the tractor to the mower. PTO shaft, driveline, the long piece that attaches to the PTO; all the same.
Just buy another, longer hose and another grease coupler that is adjustable. Lock n Lube was suggested, but they are pricey for just the occasional greasing.
