Got to see this tiller http://www.landpride.com/products/pr...rod_rtr05.html in action today. I got to play with it behind the tractor I am going to buy. I was waaaaaay impressed with the tiller's ability as well as the Kubota B2620's ability to drive it. Neither tractor nor tiller broke a sweat tilling up virgin dried out hard as a rock Oklahoma red clay. I'm sold! As a matter of fact they are both part of my new package deal I ordered today! Can't wait to play with 'em

I also love my RTR 72" Landpride tiller. Used it today in fact to chop up the manure I tried spreading out in the garden. In a few days I will go over it again and till it in deeper. Have fun with it!

Hey Phyxer....how much did the tiller cost you? I am looking for a 6ft. I see you are from Altus, I am over here in Marlow...Oklahoma red clay is no fun, but I am working on tilling in some manure, compost, and any organic material to try and restructure my soil for future planting.

Hey CAB, Oklahoma red clay is tough ain't it! The tiller I'm getting is $1595. It is has the 13 inch tines. It's the CUT sized tiller series but it sure didn't look like it knew it was the junior version My dad was born over in Marlow and raised in Comanche. Landpride is quality. We use their rotary cutters and landscape rakes (commercial use) and they hold up well and last a long time!

Yeah , I have talked with Anthony before, he is good people. I am looking at a King Kutter 6ft for 1629 at Orsheles. Gear driven, tubular frame, seems like alot of bang for the buck. MAN! it was chilly today! I got out the hydro disc and few cold buddies and did some late winter plowing!

I just got an RTR 1558 with my L3940 and I was very impressed with it. I just cleared about 3/4 acre of brush and trees to make a garden at our new place. After pushing out all the trees and stumps I used a box blade to rip the roots and loosen the soil. Then I hit it with the tiller. The ground was beautifully tilled when I got done. I love the squishy feel of fresh tilled dirt! The tiller/tractor combo just motored right through the dirt like a breeze. I live on a creek bottom and have a sandy clay soil.

MAN! it was chilly today! I got out the hydro disc and few cold buddies and did some late winter plowing!

You guys must be dry there. Here in Ohio its the mud season. Some years it doesn't dry till mid to late May. Couldn't think of plowing or any dirt work for at least 6-8wks at best.

I also acquired a 1558 last year, fantastic machine.
Seems to handle everything that I throw at it.
