It is basically a backhoe but with a boxblade. The Case 570 i am using have weird front tires, no lug just strips of tread. That case looks like it has 4x4 afterall.. surprise.

You can get anything stuck, believe me I know. I stuck my dozer dozer in a couple feet of mud 3 weeks ago. Do you know why it got stuck? Because I got stupid for about 3 seconds and no fault of the dozer. The loader like you describe and show in the picture has plenty of weight to provide the traction it needs to pull that box. I would suggest staying out of the mud, all you will do is make a mess anyway.

Like one of my instructors at Army Engineer Officers Basic Course once said, "Dirt plus mud equals more mud". And he was right because I have tried to disprove him.

What's the difference between a 2 wheel drive tractor and a 4 wheel drive tractor? The 4 wheel drive tractor gets stuck 2 miles further in the woods....... OK to substitute pick-up for this joke....

I was running loader tractors when 4W/D was not an option they did fine. i think were all geting spoiled with 4 w/d or no one knows how to use a 2 w/d anymore, 2 wheeler are diffrent breed. you actualy have to use your head and think before you jump into a mud puddle. also deere and case do have that tractor in 4 w/d model.

I know about the power and weight ration but why would my kabota L35 not get stuck in 4x4 and yet the 2x4 LL did.

All im basically saying is, a tractor without 4x4 is useless.
(CUT's i mean)

The first time I got my new tractor stuck and had to have it pulled out, it was the stupid, no good, tractors fault. The next 6 times it happened it was the idiot driving the tractor (me)! So I agree with him. /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Actually Deere and Case make Loader/Landscaper tractors with Mechanical Front Drive. Going back a few years it was the Case 480LL now I believe it is the 570XT. Deeres was a model 210. Another option today that is a little more compact is the Class 4 Utility tractors- Case IH Farmall DX55 and New Holland TC55DA.

I buried a rented Bobcat last weekend. We tried getting it out by lifting it up w/ the bucket and getting gravel under the wheels, but the left side was too close to a bog. My bad.

I wasn't going to be stupid and take my 4WD dually down within 10' (the length of my 20K lb tow strap), so I ended up borrowing a 20' HD tow chain, attached it to my tow strap, and felt that my truck was on high enough ground.

I was surprised at how much oomph it took to break the little thing loose! I tried a gentle start and that wasn't going to do any good, so I backed up a bit and gave 3 big jerks. Last one did the trick. I couldn't have done that with less HD towstraps/chains.

I certainly had fun w/ the little Bobcat though. We got a lot done.

I'll have to go look up what a landscape loader is.

Landscape Loader This is JD's, Case and JCB make em too.

Never use a chain and a snatch strap together. If the anchor point or the strap fails, the chain is a missle.
