Landscape Rake-King Kutter vs other brands...

I just picked up a Leinbach 7' for $475. Built pretty stout but the tines IMO could be a bit tougher. Been using it to drag downed cedar brush to the burn pile and have caught the tines in the heavier branches and bent them. As far as sizing them what I was told was to measure the width of your tractor and get one that size or maybe abit larger. My tractor measures abit over 6ft. So I got the 7ft. Could have gotten the 8ft and still been able to angle it but 7 was fine.

I have a 6' rake behind my 32hp compact and it works well. I could easily handle a 7' but the 6' was wide enough to cover my tire tracks. The one feature I especially like about the rake is the double bolt pattern for each tine. It helps keep the tines spaced evenly and prevents shifting. The rake is made by Southern Manufaturing out of Tenn. For a little under $400 it seemed better constructed than the KK.

I got a KK and ordered the guage wheels directly from KK and still came in under $500. It works fine for me. JC

bought a new 6' Leinbach for $450 back in december, excellent far as i can tell. Used it for clearing vines, fallen branches and small bushes. Just got thru spreading 16 yards of white rock, did a great job
