Landscape Rake Problem with BX22

   / Landscape Rake Problem with BX22 #11
Junkman,

Having the benefit of seeing Mrwurm's pic and your first pic, it seems like his solution would help the most. From your pic, the beam is level, as are the gage wheel arms--this is probably the optimum situation. Unfortunately, you are out of lift ability with the BX.

Using Mrwurm's approach, if your attach points were 6-8" lower, you could maintain this level situation to dig and have some lift heigth to raise the rake. His approach is also the easiest to undo--if you sold the rake or upgraded to a bigger tractor yourself--just torch the addition off.

The way I build stuff, I always factor in the "undo" feature whenever possible--I've used it more than once! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'm not sure about the BX model tractors but the B7500 units have two sets of holes in the lower link arms. By using one of the sets the lower links will lift higher. There should also be two sets of holes for the pins on the top link on the tractor. One set of holes will allow you to lift higher than the other. I would try adjusting the top and lower links before I start cutting up that rake.
Just food for thought. Let us know how you get it to work.
