Landscape Rake

My wheels detach, which is how I use it most of the time.
That reminds me, that I didn't see were any of us asked the OP what he was going to do with the rake - or over what type of ground. Those things make a difference with mine.

I know him personally, so I’ll answer for him😂. It’s being used
to cleanup trails and storm debris from trees! I also made a stand, not being a metal guy, I made mine out of scrap wood!
Will post pictures later today!☮️✌🏻

I bought an Ironcraft, it's going back to the dealer.

It's bent. The frame is bent like a smiley face and it's twisted. The tines bend, I can straighten them back by hand, you shouldn't be able to do that. I dragged it for about 1,300 feet. My driveway is longer than that.
The rep from Ironcraft said I put too much weight on it. I can't control how much weight is on it.

Did you get a refund?
Did you take pictures?👎🏻😟

I have had a pine needle rake for about 3 years now. It does work good as long as the pine needles are dry. When they are damp it doesn't work that good. I also made a stand for the rake to make it stand up by itself when not in use and makes it a lot easier to hook up to the tractor.
I purchased a $250 straw rake from Amazon. It works great for light stuff such as leaves, sticks and trash. I started to get to aggressive with it and broke a tine. 😬 Good excuse to go get a 6’ rake too.

My dealer refunded 100% of my money. Ironcraft would not back them up.
I have pictures, but don't know how to post them.
I replaced it with a Landpride that was 3.5 times more money.
I figured a rake was a rake. Nope.

Interesting. I was only looking at the IronCraft rake since they are available locally, they (previously Titan) made my brush hog, and had heard nothing but good things about their products. Reconsidering now...

Thinking about getting a landscape rake to maintain a gravel driveway. Not sure if I should get a 72" or 84". Pretty sure I should get the training wheels on the back since most of my driveway is off camber hillside. I've been comparing landpride to homestead implements.

Any opinions?

Hello all. I have a CountryLine rake from Tractor supply. I think they might be made by Tarter. I use it to groom my 1/3 mile gravel driveway. I have a hydraulic cylinder on the right lift arm so I can adjust the angle. Gauge wheels would be nice; maybe I'll add them.

My problem is I broke a tine and haven't found a replacement yet. TSC carries tines, online only, but are a different brand. Therefor they might not match.

Also, the tine broke right near where they attach to the two pieces of channel; I wonder if it could be welded?

Longer is better, especially for angling.

Guage wheels make all the difference in the world for a final grade.

For final grooming of my gravel road I do the same thing as plowing snow. I turn my heavy rear blade around with the cutting edge facing the rear and float the blade. It acts like a trowel and smooths the gravel. This is after I have already done the reshaping and crowning.

I used a rake with wheels when I had a gravel drive, but I did reverse my rear blade like you mention for snow plowing.
When I put in my pole barn, I added about 200' of gravel drive leading to the barn. Unfortunately I sold the rake many years ago. When I put the gravel drive in recently, I used the bucket to back drag it smooth, which also works.

FYI, TSC sells replacement tines. Different brand name but they are the same. Only ship-to-store or home. I bought 3 @10ea and got free shipping to store. Shipping was about $18.
