I have a landpride 5' York rake (aka landscape rake)
It's very well built, much more so than the cheaper lines and I got it for just under $600, I thought that was decent.
Best part is, it hooks to my ripper so you can do both at once.
very slick setup.

I had a really long reply, then the confuser blew up. This one isn't going to be as comprehensive.

I like it a lot
I had to build a stand to hold it up (no big deal) but it really gets down and rips everything up without creating huge furrows like a 2 bottom plow would.

Gets down a good 12" and leaves decent fluffed up soil. run a disk or a tiller through it and you have sweet soil.

Thank you for the response :D! I get extremely  when my long winded responses get "deep sixed". Jay

Well as far as landscape rakes go, the Woods LR series are as heavy duty as any. My six footer with wheel kit is awsome and very well built!!
And I do also like those Landpride rippers shown. That looks great!!

I have the Land Pride LR1572.

I have the medium duty rake. The make an HD model probabally more like 1700 ro 1800 rather than 1200. They make a light duty version as well.

The rake with scarifiers might be just the ticket for me when I'm tilling only the top 4 inches of my rocky soil. Do the rear tines help to limit depth of cut if you don't have wheel kit??

You can move the scarifiers up and down about 6" or so. (see picture back a page or so) so when it's even and the rake is working you just pull the rocks along.

Me, I'd make multiple passes with the rake hooked up and pull the rocks out to the end. Give 'em to Eddie for his dam. ;)

This is going to seem like a dumb question, but what is a landscape rake primarily used for? I have a compact tractor and see the implements for sale but haven't quite figured out the intended purpose of the landscape rake. It looks to me like it doesn't do much. Any users out there?
