My last two mauls where from HD. The first one was ok and the handle was the right length. Twas big and heavy though. The maul loosened so I bought a new one but they only had shorter handle lengths were are dangerous but I delt with it.

I saw that Amazon had a long handled Fiskar maul and bought it and one of their human powered pole saws. You should have seen how the packaged the pole saw! :shocked::laughing::laughing::laughing: Both are excellent. Very impressed with them. The maul is lighter than my old one. I wish it was a tad bit heaver but it works well.

Am I the only one that see some really nice lumbers when I see huge red oaks on the ground. Turning it into firewood seem like such a waste.

Pete is another one, and if i see another decent oak "lying" around, im going to give him a heads up before cutting it into little pieces and setting it on fire.
