They're rather large to have a mid-mount. I loved mowing with my Deere 1025R, and if I could have, I'd have it as a dedicated mower. Subcompacts are great mowers, just for their comfort and size.

Both the T25 and T254 offer 60-inch deck mowers. When comparing the two models, the T25 is the larger and newer model.

If you do get a zero turn make sure it's a commercial grade.

Two different purposes. Only you can decide if you have need for those purposes.

Have you considered a larger tractor than can handle a 6' or 7' 3-point finish mower instead?
