Laser Printers

I also have a 4L. I don't think you can get them anymore. It's my home printer for black and white. I use an Epson Stylus 850 for color. I just replaced toner in 4L after about 8 years of use.

I ended up with a HP 1200SE.

Local Office Depot had the best price, including those I found online.

One thing I noticed - it will not print as close to the right margin as the Cannon I have. Had to change my home inspection reports to leave a wider right margin than the Cannon. Old right margin was .25 inches - new one is .35 inches, so not a lot of difference.

When I bought my laser printer a couple of weeks ago, I bought an HP 1200SE for $377 from Office Depot. They had the best price I could find.

In this morning's paper, Office Depot had an advertisement for the same printer for $200. Thought I would let everyone know in case anyone else is looking for a laser printer.

Office Depot has a "price guarantee" for 14 days. Unfortunately, I bought mine 18 days ago, so can not qualify for the "price guarantee".

I would go back anyway and see if they would at least give you a store credit for the difference. Best Buy did that for me on a camera I bought. Don't know if you would get any place but I sure would give it a try. Try and talk to a manager not one of the floor people.

A laser printer is the way to go. I have had an HP 5L laser jet for over 6 years and I have run a lot of copies through it. I use about 2 toner cartridges a year , I now get a local business to refill my cartridges for about half the cost of new ones at Staples.
